Michael Kitay, Esq

Michael joined Cohen Marraccini, LLC in November 2024. He is admitted to practice law in Pennsylvania. Originally from Arizona, Michael went to high school in Los Alamos, New Mexico, where he played ice hockey and helped lead the team to two State Championship Finals. He received his J.D. from The Dickinson School of Law at Penn State in 2018 and a Bachelors of Arts in Journalism from Temple University in 2014. At Penn State Law, Michael joined the Family Law Clinic as a Certified Legal Intern. Following law school, Michael worked as an Assistant Public Defender, and eventually became the Chief Public Defender in Warren County. He diligently represented indigent clients, including juveniles, throughout every facet of the criminal justice system. He has successfully achieved acquittals at jury/bench trials and has also represented clients facing involuntary commitment through the Mental Health Procedures Act. He then transferred to the Montgomery County Public Defender’s Office and continued his work defending people who are often overlooked in society.

In his spare time, Michael enjoys spending time with his 4-year-old cat Oreo, as well as cooking, streaming great shows and movies, and building 3d mechanical wooden puzzles.
